I have 80 pupils in Primary 4. How do you run group work without losing the whole class?
The staffroom that’s always open.
Teacher Synod brings teachers together to share what works, support each other through the tough days, and keep growing with free courses and people to learn with.
No teacher should have to figure it out alone.
Teaching is one of the most demanding jobs there is, and too often it’s done behind a closed door. We built Teacher Synod so help, ideas and growth are always within reach.
Isolation
Many teachers have no one to ask when a lesson, a class or a week goes wrong. Here, other teachers are a post away.
CPD that’s hard to reach
Good training is often costly, far away or one-off. Here, courses are free, online and taken at your own pace.
Wellbeing that gets pushed aside
The job can take a toll. Here, there’s a moderated wellbeing circle and support when you need it.
Everything you need to keep growing, in one place.
Advice from teachers who’ve been there.
Join circles for your subject, stage or challenge. Ask anything, share what works, and thank the people who help.

Questions teachers ask us.
Who can see what I post?
Other teachers on Teacher Synod see your posts in the circles you post to. If you post anonymously, your name and school are hidden from everyone, including your school. Our moderators can see who posted if they need to keep someone safe.
Can my school read my posts or chats?
No. If your school joins Teacher Synod, its admins see only the courses you’ve started. Your posts, replies and chats stay private.
Where do the courses come from?
Our learning partner is Saylor Academy, a non-profit that offers free, self-paced courses with free certificates. You study on Saylor’s site and Saylor issues your certificate.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Teacher Synod works in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
What happens if someone is struggling?
Posts are checked for signs that someone may be at risk, and our moderators review anything flagged or reported. Serious concerns go to a safeguarding lead. Anyone can open the support page for helplines at any time.
How does my school join?
A head teacher or school leader registers the school, then shares an invite code with staff. Teacher Synod checks each school before it’s marked as verified.
